Due to a relaxing and uneventful weekend; I got a chance to watch some of the Olympics Games. It seems that in years past I cared a little more about these games (just lost the hype for me this year). Regardless, I watched, and found myself focusing on some of the more obscure events. For instance, I watched the Men’s Biathlon on Saturday – This sport, which combines the endurance of cross-country skiing with the accuracy and concentration of a marksman, has always been fascinating to me. This combination seems incredibly random. I think that they should consider a similar sport in the summer games, possibly throwing in a very different skilled event in the middle of a marathon. How about half way through the marathon, competitors must throw the shot put. This way another country will finally beat out the Kenyans in long-distance running events.
I also got a chance to see a great Curling competition. I am calling out some of my friends to get a Curling team together to train for four years and focus on Olympic Gold. We have a good chance! Many of my buddy’s have much experience with the Shuffle Board (very similar), and you don’t have to be in shape, athletic, or coordinated. To add to this, I know some people who ranked 29th in the country in Bocce Ball – some of us have masterd the stupid sports. Jewitt – what do you think? If we do go for it – we should use this equipment

Also…I want to say congratulations to Heavy. Even though you didn’t win an Olympic medal this time, I believe you can pull the best sow cow of them all.
